7 Destinations with a Clay International Prepaid SIM Card

The thought of going without internet access on your phone, computer or other mobile devices is scary in our times, however, the voice and data tariff on-the-go in abroad is prohibitively high. This situation often holds us from going abroad, and when we do set out we restrict ourselves to a few destinations. But not anymore, with a Clay International Prepaid SIM Card, the entire world is a stage, breakfree and enjoy your moments.

I had to visit 7 random destinations, they are not necessarily in the top 7 chart of authoritative travel websites. They were not in my wishlist too. As a content manager for a leading vacation rental portal in the USA, I had to visit those places to grab as much first hand information as possible, specially those related to accommodation, nearby destinations, safety and amenities. More on them later. My employer did pay for dining out, lodging and commutation. It also subscribed some corporate business solutions (voice + data) from Clay Telecom for us, on which we peers could access internet as a close user group.

As an individual customer you can grab a Clay International Prepaid card for just Rs. 499, that includes Free talk time worth Rs. 100. Of course, our plan was different but in all the cases through a Clay SIM you can use a single number in over 200 countries, get free incoming calls in 60 countries, make direct dialling in over 26 countries, and most importantly there are flexible recharge options.

Coming back to those 7 random destinations. It took us 3 months to visit the popular destination in Istanbul, Rome, London, Beijing, Prague, Marrakech and Paris. None of these destination has anything to do with the other. But they all standout for their unique offering. The native carriers in those countries are different, voice and data tariffs were different. Moreover, recharging your data and voice services is not the same across those places. You should expect some hassles. To sum up, we had our share of ugly surprises across those different cultures, that's obvious. One thing that did not deceive was Clay - we never knew when we were changing carriers since the quality of service was good and uniform.
